In the past, many women have struggled to find acceptance in the workplace because of societal expectations and stereotypes. However, women have made enormous strides in several formerly male-dominated industries and are excelling in leadership roles.

Women are gradually making their leadership presence felt in education, entrepreneurship, administration, engineering, and health, among others, at regional, national, and global levels. Women leaders defeat many workplace barriers caused by gender biases. Their challenging journey to the top allows them to develop themselves remarkably and leaves less room, if any, to challenge the need for more women in leadership.
